GOLD HOLDS NEAR $4,360 AS USD STRENGTH LIMITS UPSIDE

GOLD HOLDS NEAR $4,360 AS USD STRENGTH LIMITS UPSIDE

Gold pulled back after failing to break the $4,400 level, trading around $4,364.10 as the US Dollar and Treasury yields provided pressure on the non-yielding metal. Market attention remains focused on dollar movements, interest-rate expectations and broader market conditions.

A firmer US Dollar has limited Gold’s recovery, while the outlook for US monetary policy continues to influence Treasury yields. At the same time, softer oil prices may ease inflation concerns and could reduce some pressure on gold from higher yields.

Markets are also monitoring US-China trade discussions and potential developments that could influence broader currency and risk-market sentiment. Changes in the US Dollar remain particularly relevant for Gold pricing.

From a technical perspective, XAU/USD has a neutral daily RSI near 50, suggesting limited directional momentum. The 200-day SMA at $4,541.68 remains the key upside resistance, while the 100-day SMA near $4,319 and 50-day SMA around $4,296 provide important downside reference levels.

A sustained move above $4,541.68 would put the longer-term technical structure back into focus, while a break below the $4,319–$4,296 support area could increase downside pressure and expose lower levels.

For market participants, the key factors remain US Dollar strength, Treasury yields, interest-rate expectations and the $4,319–$4,542 technical range, which may provide further context for the near-term direction of XAU/USD.
